In Sickness and in Health Anxiety

Written and Performed by Doug Wallace and Christina Muehlberger

Narrator voiced by Glenys Marshall

Life is full of uncertainty- some of which we welcome and some of which we just really don't want to. Join Christina and Doug as they say "I do" to the uncertainty of love - all while Christina asks, "is this gas or am I dying?"

Genesis of the Show:

The show began as a title. Doug came home one day and said, "What if we did a show called In Sickness and In Health Anxiety?". While Christina was slightly offended that her anxiety was taking up enough room to write an entire show about, she thought, "damn it, that's a great title." What started as a show exploring the ways Christina's health anxiety has affected their relationship has become something much bigger. Life is full of uncertainties and this show explores why we accept some and struggle with others.

Christina Muehlberger

Christina Muehlberger, originally a seasoned improviser, got her start in stand-up in late 2017. Christina has brought her awkwardness and storytelling style to shows all over Ontario. In 2022, Christina won the Yuk Yuks summer competition and her one woman show - God, that's funny - won Best of Fest at Ottawa Fringe.

Doug Wallace
