Genesis of The Project:
Blending a love for the old DJ format, and a love for making up songs with other performers, Velvet Wells developed the digital “song request” format in 2020 to innovate technology, continue performing, and connecting with other performers and audiences around the world.

… is an award-winning creator based in the unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Anishnaabeg territory. Most recently, Velvet performed at Luminato, Toronto Pride, Ottawa Fringe Festival and Halifax Fringe Festival.
